Ofw.Heinrich HUMBURG JG 26,JG 7

Hi,
A very interesting pilot of JG 26 was Ofw.Heinrich HUMBURG (* 10.10.1915), he participated in the war from beginning to end.
He received a Spanish cross and swords for his performance in the Spanish Civil War.
To III./JG 26 came 18.5.1940 from Erg.Jgr.Merseburg.
Later he was with Lufdienstkdo. 2 / III. at Venlo Airport.
He returned to 9./JG 26 on September 1, 1943, where he was wounded on December 16, 1943.
At the beginning of 1945 he was at III./EJG 2 and from 19.3.1945 at JG 7.
He allegedly shot down 7 aircraft (only 4 are documented in JG 26).
Please does anyone have more information about this pilot?
For example, what unit was he in Spain with.
Thank you very much everyone
Regards Tony

Re: Ofw.Heinrich HUMBURG JG 26,JG 7

I don't have anything to add, but as an aside my uncle was an instructor at Merseburg when this guy would have been trained there.
