Help with Research on Horst Janke and or Karl Janke
Hello, I am relatively new to this forum but i've always been in "too" deep with The Second World War. Recently I have purchased a folder of some letters that were of a man in the luftwaffe. All of the letters are sent to Horst Janke some letters say obergefreiter and gefreiter, the letters range from the 9th of February, 1942 till the 4th of December, 1942 (by what envelopes say). I've been trying to find out who is sending the letters and trying to find out who the before mentioned people were. I know the person in question was apart of the luftwaffe but I have little clue who Horst Janke is (the recipient). Since i can neither speak or read german i have very little to work with. I've tried deciphering signatures but to almost no avail, I somewhat found names like, Carl (presumably janke) and Dein. I've found the last link to be "most helpful" (i may be wrong, this is the first time I've ever done something like this)
Here are some of the websites I've been trying to find info with: http://www.geni.com/people/Horst-Jan...00009744391945 http://www.geni.com/people/OTTO-JANK...00000607145247 http://ww2.dk/lwoffz.html http://www.genealogy.com/ftm/s/t/o/P.../UHP-0316.html http://www.genealogy.com/ftm/s/t/o/P.../UHP-0280.html http://www.aircrewremembered.com/Kra...abase/?q=Janke |
