crash site of SHORAN carrying A/C

Hi all!

During the development of the allied short range navigational instrument SHORAN (Seeley)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SHORAN
an aircraft carrying the complete documentation of this development back from U.K. to the U.S. did crash. Almost all information on it got lost this way.
I would like to know which a/c (serial) it was and where/when it was lost.

Thank you,
FrankieS
