OBLT GANTE BENGT KG 54

Hello Guys

I am looking to get some more information regarding GANTE BENGT

I own his Ehrenpokal

this is what I have managed to find out so far :
born 08.07.1917 died 05.09.1942 buried at maleme, crete Block 1 grave 339
he was in staffel 1 of kg54 from 19.07.41 until 26.10.1941 when he was made staffel captain of staffel 2
kia during an attack on the airbase Iraklion by the allies 05.09.1942
during his time in staffel 1 he flew ju88 a-4 which crash landed in the sea (gulf of patras) he sustained injury from this crash on the 25.08.1941 BWB award date
he won the ehrenpokal on 20.4.1942
he won the ek1 on 03.5.1941
he won bomber clasp gold 13.2.1942
Jul 19th 1941: Ju 88 A-4 B3+BH - WNr 1210 - Hit by Flak and belly landed near Nowograd. Aircraft 30%. No other crew info.

Aug 25th 1942: Ju 88 A-4 B3+?K - WNr 4535 - Ditched into the sea in the Gulf of Patras due to engine failure. No other crew info.


Can you add anything else to this picture , ? Anybody has items related to him please let me know

in june 2011 there was a eBay picture Gante's B3+BH of 2./KG54 showing the damage ( http://www.ebay.de/itm/Foto-Flugzeug...p2047675.l2557 no picure anymore)

Several photos of this a/c have appeared on eBay the last years but on none of them the WNr is readable so until we see a photo that does clearly shown the WNr I think we must be cautious to state that this is in fact Bengt's a/c.

Hi,

I´m a relative to Bengt Gante. My mother who is Bengts little sister is still alive. Bengts mother was Swedish borne in Old town of Stockholm.
I have been on Malem cemetary and seen the grave of Bengt Gante.

I´m really interested in the Ehrenpokal!
