Identity of a Pe-2? lost (29/3/43)
Hello
According to one of my sources, that day,a Pe-2 FT was shot down in the region of Bergen after being attacked by Ehrler. The wreck was recovered by a team of enthusiasts coming from Bodo (30/7/88). Questions: 1)What is the identy of this Pe-2? 2)Ehrler claimed that day a Pe-2 or other things? 3)Bergen seems far away from the usual theater of his group? Thank's in advance Best Regards michel |

Hi Michel,
My and my colleagues the source is "Google it": http://www.toredgarolsen.net/petlyprosjekt.htm http://luftfartsmuseum.no/fly/petlyakov-pe-2-ft-2/ Two Pe-2 in Norway: http://ktsorens.tihlde.org/flyvrak/hamningberg.html http://ktsorens.tihlde.org/flyvrak/svartnes.html Another Senior Lieutenant Pudov Pavel Ivanovich - the Navigator 2 AE 121 BAP died in the plane during the shelling of anti-aircraft artillery. Yes,I know the two lost in region of Finnmark(Svartnes and Kudalsfjellet),besides it seems that 3 Pe-2 were lost:Kap.Schaparov crashed Kola.
But "quid" that of Bergen? reality or not? My source provides photos with members paused on the wings.and what to think of the claim of Ehrler? michel |

Michel,
Where was 6./JG5? Alakurtti or Petsamo? or Salmijärvii? 1400-1600 km from Bergen? Bf-109G even with tank as many will not fly... And the PE-2 there could not fly... And if it could, then - "one way ticket"? Is that another Bergen? Kirill |

Indeed it's impossible.I should have checked my source (1989),besides Erhler did not claim "abschuss" that day....to my knowledge.
