Lt Hugh de Graaff Hunter

Hi,

Does anyone know the circumstances surrounding the death of Lt (A) Hugh de Graaff Hunter on 5th November 1942?

He was based at HMS Jackdaw (Crail) in Fife, possibly as an instructor, and I believe it was an aircraft accident.

Hugh took part in the Norwegian Campaign and the attack on the Bismark, where he gained the DSC. He was also Mentioned in Dispatches.

Hugh is buried in Crail Cemetery.

Any help appreciated.

Alex
