Photos Chinese Aircraft

Hello,


Currently on ebay are two photos of early Chinese Aircraft. The Caudron photo has been seen previously,therefore perhaps the other aircraft has been too.But what is it?

A very good question Clint

The Caudron is one of the batch delivered in 1913 and Lt Pan was one of the individuals who learned to
fly in France in 1913.
The photos are dated Aug 1917 so the type must have been imported before that date.
The lower photo has a Farman touch over it, and since I really can't believe France "showelling"
China with aircraft once the war began, it should thus be something delivered before the outbreak
of war in Europe.
The problem is that I can't find any.
It has been a long time Lennart Andersson visited this site, so I'll ask him what he thinks

Hi Clint

Lennart points out the lower photo is in his book on Chinese Aviation on page 224.
This one is better quality!
It was built by the first aircraft factory in China, the workshop of the flying school at Nanyûan.
It was organized by a French mechanic named Emile Obre.
Four two-seater pusher biplanes were built apparently named Type Pan Shihchun.

Thanks for your efforts and Lennart's response. Amazing how easy this is when you look in the right place.It is indeed a better picture in the book as you say. A bit disappointing to have posted two already known photos personally. But here's another of the second aircraft, described here as the Nanyuan Gunbus No.1.
