Bv 222 Stammkennzeichen

Browsing the Bundesarchiv's Gen. Nachrichtenführer files, I've come across a passing reference to a Bv 222, BR+CL. Does anyone know its Werk Nummer, sub-type and eventual fate?

Re: Bv 222 Stammkennzeichen

that is not a valid Stammkennzeichen for a BV 222. Could you please share the document or signature.

Re: Bv 222 Stammkennzeichen

Interesting reference. I have BR+CL (from the LRG Stkz list by Peter van Gogh) as a He111 - unknown Unit - dated 19.10.44 from Fb.Hans Hirschmann). Can anyone else give more details?

A quote from a table of Günther Ott, published in JET & PROP 4/2003:
BV 222 C 12 WNr. 330052, Stammkennzeichen DL+TY, Verbandskennzeichen/code X4+CH, first flight 9 Feb 1944, delivered 16 Feb 1944, on 14 July 1945 taken over by the RAF at Trondheim and transferred to the UK (VP501), on 11 June 1947 scrapped at Calshot.

Re: Bv 222 Stammkennzeichen

Hi all regarding BR+CL in Fb Hirschmann its possible that the stkz is BK+CL. The R and K in his notes looks the same.

Peter
