looking for info on US glider pilot market garden bastogne ?301St,441 St

dear reader,
i am currently looking for more info on a person glider pilot or dakota pilot
all the info i have is
name
ERNEST .L. MCDUFFIE T-1191
301 St groupe carrier squadron
later to 441 St troups carrier group

trained at VICTOR VILLE
operated South of France
%Market garden hollland
and (i would like to know if has been to Bastogne ?)
has had at least 2 rewards
air medal us army
orange order william holland
can someone tell me more about this person?
KIA ? when where? has been in Bastogne ??? where
any info would be appreciated

Also that (a) Ernest L.McDuffie is buried at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, TX. Born Feb 27, 1915, died May 30, 1986.

Don't know if he was in involved in Bastogne, but mentioned picture appears under heading "Glider Pilot Pictures".

so if that picture apears under glider pilots i suppose that he was a glider pilot ( WACO)?
