Revi C 13/o FL 52161 - information?

Hello,

I'm trying to find additional information about Revi C 13/0 FL 52161 but it has become a challenge. Can anyone help!?

Is it possibly an error in writing for Revi C 12?

Thanks
/Mike

Re: Revi C 13/o FL 52161 - information?

I use to collect Revi gunsights and had a large amount of original documents (copies) from NASM and other sources. I never ran across anything referencing a Revi C/13.
Additionally, none of my searches can locate a Fl.52161.

Fl.52116 is a Revi 3c or 3d.
Fl.52160 is a C/12 C.

Thanks for checking. Ok, then I'm not alone in not locating any data about this. The challenge though is that it is clearly given in an official document from 1940. So somewhat of a mystery!

Perhaps a prototype or project that went undeveloped?

According to my research, German gun sight development was slow until an American aircraft was captured and a gyro-stabilized gun sight was found inside. It seems to me that the number of gun sights actually made for fighters lagged behind the total number of aircraft available.

I'm not sure what this is supposed to mean?

While the Germans did lack a gyro gun sight until very late in the war, the EZ-42 (supposedly only 200 units built). Every single German fighter had a gun sight installed. The most numerous were the Revi 3 series (pre-war/early-war), the Revi C/12 series and Revi 16 series (early thru late war).

Hello

Take a look here (a sharp one, its printed in Fraktur...) :

http://www.deutscheluftwaffe.com/arc...Revi%2012C.pdf

At page 6, you will find the description of the FL 52 161, a kit containing a Revi 12/C (FL 52 160) and a support (FL 52 108-1).
