Lt. H. Ertmann JG 1 on 10-07-1943

Gents,

Lt. H. Ertmann crashed his Fw 190 A-4, Wn. 55573 north of Woensdrecht on the 10th july 1943. Damage on the a/c was around 60%. Lt. Ertmann was wounded.
In the Kriegstagebuch of II/JG 1 there is nothing on Lt. Ertmann, nor on this loss.
Can anybody check the Kriegstagebuch of III/JG 1 for data on Lt. Ertmann.

I'm trying to find out if Lt. Ertmann was asigned to II/JG 1 or III/JG 1.

Tia.

Re: Lt. H. Ertmann JG 1 on 10-07-1943

Leutnant Horst Ertmann belonged to Stab II./JG 1. I am not aware of the existence of a KTB III./JG 1 nor of a VLm for the 10.07.1943 loss. His injuries must have been minor.

Regards,

John.

Hello from Luxembourg,

I believe that Lt Ertmann crashed here near Eschdorf ,Luxembourg on the 26.12.1944. He was in a Dog Fight with the 362nd FG. It is existing a combat Film from a former pilot of the 362nd Mr Ralph SALLEE which shows this fight. Have you perhaps more details of Lt Ertmann as I know, he is still Missing in action from the 26.12.1944? We are still searching this case here in Luxembourg.
