information request: RAF post war P-47 pilot
Hello,
A good friend of mine is looking for information about his grandfather, James T. Boulton, who flew Thunderbolts in the RAF in the Far East just after WW2. I promised him that I would ask around on this forum. Unfortunately, this is all my friend knows. All we know is that he was trained during the war, but only flew on active duty when the war had ended. We were wondering if anyone can find out to which squadron James Boulton was assigned (he was not using the T at the time, apparently), and during which period exactly, and if possible (and I realise this certainly is a long shot), perhaps find out which Thunderbolts (serial numbers?) he might have flown. Many thanks in advance Elger |

Re: information request: RAF post war P-47 pilot
He can ask MoD for a copy of his service record. He would have all his postings then. Details of flights - look for his log books. Most of RAF documents do not provide such information for non operational sorties.
