30 March 1940 II./JG 3 Me 109 loss at Zerbst
Hello all,
On 30 March 1940 a Me 109E-1 of II./JG 3 crashed on landing at Zerbst. GQM stated that the pilot was injured. Damage: 85%. Does anybody have more details relating to this incident. Alas GQM does not state the name of the pilot. Hope anybody can add more details to this. Thank you. Best regards, Rob

I can´t find a injured pilot in the crash ?
but I see there is a so called "Nachtrag" in the GQM files, I will see whats written there. Ok in the GQM files there is no wounded or killed pilot, so where come your information from ? khorat |

Hello Khorat,
Thanks for your reply. My source is GQM file. In last column of the listing underneath "Verletzte" is stated "1 (F)". Alas no name and/or further details regarding the pilot. Hope you are able to provide more details. Best regards, Rob

Hi, Rob.
I have no further info, only that the pilot was not an officer - from the fact that the loss return would have mentioned this if he had been. Regards, Andreas
