376th Bombardment Group - January 11, 1943
Hi to all,
a question. On January 11, 1943 8 B-24 of 376th BG were in action to bomb Naples. From where they took off? The "Liberandos" book is misunderstanding... Abu Sueir (LG-205) or Gambut (LG-159)? Some testimonies would seem to lead to Gambut, others say the 376th BG went on LG-159 only in the following weeks. Regards, Daniele. |

from http://www.armyaircorps-376bg.com/1943_11_jan.html Seems they were based at Abu Sueir but staged at Gambut for the Naples mission. |
