Hello René,

Uffz. Willi Reimers flew with Uffz. Herbert Scheuerlein (born 6-7-1923, died 24-3-1996) in the 11./NJG 3 before he and Scheuerlein were transferred to the 1./NJG 1 at Münster-Handorf.
Reimers flew mostly with Scheuerlein and once with Uffz.Rohde. Willi Reimers survided WW-2 and lived in Lübeck.

Best regards, Marcel

Hello JoMe & Marcel,

many thanks for your helpful information.

It seems Willi Reimers was the replacement for Uffz. Max-Günther Heinze, which were killed 18./19.12.44.

Willi Reimers come from N.J.G. 102, Schulstaffel N.J.G. 1 direct to 1./N.J.G. 1.

Best wishes,
René

Hello René,

If I follow your line of thought, the Luftwaffe Personal Amt had forseeing qualities to send Reimers in november, anticipating the later death of Heinze in december

Best regards, Marcel
