Me 109 - ID possible?
Hello,
Out of a German Luftwaffe soldier veteran i have the following picture => it does show a fuselage of a wrecked Me 109. Can this plane and its former pilots fate be ID'ed by the cartoon on the side and the (yellow?) number 3? All information is welcome and thanks in advance Cordial greetings |

Re: Me 109 - ID possible?
Hi,
4./JG27 Bf109F. But I think there is also an overpainted bomb? symbol on the MTO band. Regards Robert |

Re: Me 109 - ID possible?
Hello,
not Bf 109 F, it's a G. Look at the fuel intake. Btw, the sign is the Staffelabzeichen (Squadron sign).
