Bf-110 Wnr. 3825 19-3-1941 SKG 210

Bf-110 Wnr. 3825 of SKG 210 reportedly was lost/had an accident in the Brugge (Bruges), Belgium area on 19 March 1941.

Looking for any details about above case (circumstances, crew and fate..).

Thanks for info.

Hi.

I also have another loss giving the same WNr on April 27th, which must be wrong.

Gents,

Well, not quite the Brugge area, but in N. France close to the Belgian border instead for this Bf-110....

Thanks for your quick responses, much appreciated.

Leendert

Andreas

Foreman has only one loss for SKG 210 on April 27th and that is WNr 2826. Perhaps your loss that day under "WNr 3825" is in addition to that one?

Cheers
Stig

Hello

Wnr.2826 is mentioned in the lists of Michael Balss but as far as I can see, NOT in primary sources unless the NVM (which I haven't) of this SKG contains an error.

I have this on Wnr. 2826:
Bf110C-1, 1./Erg.Gr. NJG 1, G9+EU, crashed at Wolfschlugen/Stuttgart, 2 KIA on 8th July 1942, 100% loss, sources: Reel 6 and the NVM

All the best, Marcel

Re: Bf-110 Wnr. 3825 19-3-1941 SKG 210

The notion that Wnr. 3825 was in the Brugge area probably stems from a phonetic misinterpretation and/or copying of original text.

With some bad French pronounciation Hazebrouck in France sounds like Assebroek, now part of greater Brugge.

On Volksbund.de the village of Wallon-Cappel, which is near Hazebrouck, is given as location where the two crew members of Wnr. 3825 have died.

Leendert
