V./KG 40 losses on 25th september 43

Hi,
On 25th September 1943, over Bay of Biscay, four crews from 307th(Polish) Sqn clashed with eight Ju 88Cs from 15./KG 40. Polish crews claimed 2-2-1, with Mosquito VI HJ658 lost ( RAF crew - F/Sgt. L.J. Loundes and F/Sgt. I. Cotton was KIA).

In some old Polish book I found info, that seven of eight Ju 88Cs never returned from this mission. So, maybe Anyone has info about real V./KG 40 losses on that day ?

Re: V./KG 40 losses on 25th september 43

Only two losses:

JU88 C-6 WNr 360395 of 15/KG 40. Crew MIA (Stfw Kurt Linden, Uffz Wletr Thimm, Uffz Wilhelm Beuckle)

Ju88C-6 WNr 750412 of 14/KG 40. Crew KIA (Lt Erhard Kromer, Uffz Alfred Mueller, Uffz Rudolf Ludwig)

The 307 crew returned thinking they destroyed seven Ju 88 but the RAF Intelligence Officer reduced it to two, and was right.

SOurce: Chris Goss' book "Bloody Biscay", highly recommended.

Thank You, Laurent

I have one more question. This time about German loses on 11st September 1943.
From Tony Wood website:
"11th September 1943. 4 Mosquitos of 307 Sqn. dispatched for Fighter-Direction affiliation with H.M.S.
Sheffield. Section engaged 6 Me 110s in area 48º 18' North 08º 55' West, claimed 1-2-3 Me 110s. Later, another section of 4: 307
Sqn. engaged 6 Ju 88s in area 47º 00' North 11º 00' West, to claim 4-0-1 for no loss. 1 Mosquito was damaged Cat.B, and 1
Cat.A."
German claims:
11.09.43 Staffelabschuß 3./ZG 1 Mosquito £ 15 West S/0947: 200 m. 15.10
11.09.43 Staffelabschuss V./KG 40 Mosquito £ 380 km. W. Brest.

Laurent, could You help me again ?
