I/JG5 shot down PR Spitfire 10 April 1942

Hi guys

I understand that two pilots from I/JG5 shot down a PR Spitfire on 10 April 1942.

Has anyone any details, please? Who were the pilots involved?

Cheers
Brian

Brian - The Mombeek JG5 history credits the victory to Oblt Herbert Huppertz 9/KG5 at 12.33 hrs. using 180 MG rounds and 85 cannon rounds ( his 35th victory). The Spitfire pilot is named as F/O P.G.C. Gimson who was killed when his parachute failed ,
