RCAF 434 Squadron web site

To whom it may concern,
RCAF 434 Squadron (1943-1945)
After having accumulated numerous documents through the National Archives Canada, Overseas, and personal research on 434 Squadron I decided to create an unofficial RCAF 434 Squadron website. It pertains to the years 1943-1945 while the squadron was stationed in Britain during WW II.

There are many topics with plenty of information including Crews, Strike/Recon photos, PDF files, Crew Roster (Spread sheet and PDF file) for the entire squadron. Other items of interest, Research Documents, 434 Veterans, Victories (claims). All photos have an accompanying caption, there are well over a hundred photos.

Mining Campaign – Gardening with Bomber Command is a section I researched, it includes images, maps, and descriptions of an aerial mining mission, including the minefields of the North Atlantic.

The site was created to assist others in starting research, more importantly it is my way of remembering all those who served and made the ultimate sacrifice.

Sincerely, Alan Soderstrom
