Night fighter Me-110 loss on 29/30 August 1944
Hello!
Polish Lancaster BH-M PA163 which took part in a bombing mission over Stettin on 29/30 August 1944 is believed to shot down one german night fighter Me-110 (maybe from 3./NJG 3 ??) over Denmark during that raid. After that victory this bomber was shot down by another Me-110 (probably Ofw. Schmitz from 3./NJG 7) and crashed near Alestrup in Denmark. Also it is likely that victorious Me-110 was also damged and crashed on landing causing the crew getting injured and recovering until the end of a war... Is it possible to confirm both Me-110 losses? If so, may I get more details and the source of the information? Regards,
