Well, I must say that this is the version which becomes more and more likely indeed...
I will also try to search any information in polish documents concerning that flight...

And what about the information about possible damage to Schmitze`s Ju-88 which could have resulted in a forced landing and some injuries to its crew?

A couple of Danes was in contact with Wasik some years back.
Wasik saw a Lancaster go down just before he was attacked. He tried to enter a corkscrew but the Lancaster was hit and exploded. Wasik was trown out and managed to release his parachute while the other crew members died.
He did not mention anything about shooting at the nightfighter.

It is a very important informaiton indeed!
I wonder then where this information about the shooting at nightfighters comes from as Wąsik was the only survivor from that plane...?
