Pilot Identities ???
Hi All
Can anyone tell me the names of the pilots of the following aircraft ? Any additional info would be a bonus as well TIA regards Dave 1) Fw-190 w.n.3588, Nevel area 1943, white or yellow "12" 2) Me-109 JG3 Kuban area, "red 12" (probably 1942-43) 3) Me-109G-12 or -14 wr nr.465487 yellow or white 2 unknown JG |

No pilot info, but a couple of points -
>3588 is not a valid FW WNr. By late-43 sub-types would mostly be A-6s or A-5s (or their SG equivalents), with the occasional A-4 leftover.
>You would be hard-pressed to find any combat units using red numbers for codes in 42-43, in spite of what a photo caption in a book might say. >WNr. 465487 would be a G-14 (G-12 is a 2-seat trainer), unfortunately I don't have it in my loss database. |
