He 111 / 2./TGr.30

Hi all

In a british Crashed Enemy Aircraft Report (No.265) is reported by finding a He111 with the code S3 + DK east of Joigny/F (about 55km SW Troyes/F).
The loss period may have been around December 44 or January 45.
According to the VKZ it should have been a plane of 2./TGr.30.
In my documents I find only a loss on 24.11.44 at Bullou/F (20km NW Chateaudun/F), but that is far from Joigny.
Does anyone have more information on the loss of the S3 + DK?

Best regards and all the best for 2019

JoMe

Hello,
there is more information in the book "the air war over the Ardennes" Tom3 de Francoise and Pierre Roger.
there is also a profile of the plane, and testimonies of inhabitants, kids they played in it. the wreck was at Bogny sur Meuse, it was lowered by the dca us.
cordially
Joel

Re: He 111 / 2./TGr.30

Hi all

This is very interesting Chris and Joel, especially the loss schedule.
Thank you for your comments.

So the He 111/8543 was not fired at Bullou, but at Bogny.

Chris: Do you have details about the loss of the He 111/701412 from Dec 26, 1944 (place, names, location) ?
This aircraft was also mentioned in the loss report.

best wishes
JoMe
