Flt.Sgt Harry Paul

Hi

Looking for info on 996604 - Harry Paul of RAFV

He died 9/9/42 in Wellington T2913 after running out of fuel during training. I know the location was near Elgin, but trying to be more exact.

Any help would be great

The accident was during the night of 7/8 Sep and not on the 9th. F/Sgt Harry Paul was seemingly the only one who died from his injuries. All others survived.
He was buried in Dundee Western Necropolis (Balgay Cemetary)
Aircraft took off from Lossiemouth and since Elgin was a satellite airfield used by 20OTU it is possible the intention was to land there, especially since the the aircraft was running out of fuel, which is listed as the cause of the accident.
Details taken from RAF Bomber Command losses Vol 7 (OTU 1940-47 by W R Chorley)
No details of Harry Paul I'm afarid
