Sgt William Hutchinson

This RAF man was in 405 (RCAF) Sqn and was killed on 3 August 1943 during air operations. Can anyone furnish me with more information - Operation/aircraft flown/ circumstances?

Re: Sgt William Hutchinson

I now have the identity of his aircraft. Two other losses on the same night were aircraft flown by Sgt Gregory and Sgt Phillips. Tantalisingly, from the ORB of 405 Sqn for ops on the 2/3 August ‘43 the listing of all the aircraft being flown are indicated only by the individual aircraft letters; would any document give a tie-up between aircraft serial and individual aircraft letter exist, ie HR917 was LQ-G
