Re: DO217 loss 14/06/1944

Cheers Nick,

Could the Do217E-5 or the K-2 operate glider bombs?

Keith

This KG 100 unit history might answer your questions. It includes extensive appendices of losses and personnel:http://www.livre-aviation.com/KAMPFG...0_1407.html#FP

Re: DO217 loss 14/06/1944

Cheers Nick. I have found that the K-2 could indeed operate Hs293, as could the E-5. The Do217s shot down by 443 Sqn on the date seemingly were not the aircraft of KG100 which could mean another misidentification by the pilots involved but this seems unlikely. So unless they are from another unit I am at a loss.

regards

Keith

....unless it is Do217K-3 (4748) reported shot down by Allied AA?
