What is the correct way between :

N°350 Sqn or 350 Sqn ?

Thanks beforehand.

Officially, for example, No. 609 (West Riding) Sqn RAuxAF but most shorten to 609 (WR) Sqn or 609 Sqn

So, for a book written in French, it is not a mistake if "350 Sqn" is used as I am a little bit idle...

I don't think that anyone would have noticed, but they will now... I don't see any problem with it.

Re: N°X Sqn or X Sqn ?

The official title was 350 (Belgian) Squadron - see here http://www.350sqn.be/ - but showing it as 350 Sqn would be acceptable.

Re: N°X Sqn or X Sqn ?

Thanks for suggestions.
I quote 350 Sqn as such as example (obvious from a brave Belgian...). However, by coincidence, some books - about this special Sqn - would be released soon (that is another story...) and I noted... both naming inside.

So 350 Sqn. End of vote

Re: N°X Sqn or X Sqn ?

The first time I mention the squadron I would use 'No. 350 (Belgian) Sqn', and subsequently use '350 Sqn'. If you must use it to start a sentence with it – I would try to find another way of expressing it – use 'No. 350 Sqn'. Incidentally, 'Sqn' is the approved abbreviation for MOD writing.
