Hercules XVI. serials
Hi Folks,
From A.M. 78 forms I have the list of Hercules XVI. engines installed on some Wellington Mk. X. planes I am interested in, however, these numbers are only A.M. registration (?) numbers, not the actual engine serial numbers. Hercules XVI. engine "S/N: SS 14146" was eg. "A.M. No. 381126." So I have the 'A.M. No.s' of the engines I need, but: I would like to match them to the proper engine serial numbers, like: SS 14146. The A.M. Nos. I have: 382113 382854 382666 382702 383840 462998 387171 461144 388625 388403 388889 388540 389105 389107 391641 391825 391687 391707 470640 471378 473864 473942 346937 346815 Is there a 'chart' or document(s) to match the actual engine serial numbers to these A.M. registration numbers? It would be very helpful to identify recovered AC remains. Thanks, Gabor |
