photo of FL 60060 item
Hello,
I would like to know if someone would be willing to provide me with a picture of FL 60060 item which is : "Bomben-Abwurf-Schaltkasten, verwendet in Sonderanlage T, Me110F-2". Baumuster ASK-N. I have also some questions : 1°) What is special equipment T ? (T= Träger?) 2°) Was it only restricted to Bf 110 F-2? The Bomben-Abwurf in question may be - for instance - an ETC 500/501 rack ? Thanks for your attention. Best regards. ClinA-78 |

Re: photo of FL 60060 item
Hello,
Retrieving this old thread because I am going to unearth the wreckage of the Bf 110 which had this device. This particular Bf 110 loss remains, up to now, totally unknown; not recorded in known verlust meldungen (or located wrongly, doubtful) nor in the local OFK reports (few of them remaining). Few witnesses (now all deceased) saw the nighttime crash of this aircraft, said as occured end of 1943, about 4 km South of Binche (Belgium), between Charleroi and Mons. For years, I think I am facing a material loss whose crew bailed out but even this data is unsure. This is one of the reasons why this recovery will be monitored by the regional archeological service. Any hint about this mystery loss is appreciated. ClinA-78 PS : the unanswered questions in the former post are still seeking your attention |

Re: photo of FL 60060 item
Thanks but it still puzzles me.
No Bf 110 (as destroyer) lost in the area. Were early nightfighters (early variant as D, E or F) equipped with ETC? There is still a DB (601) to recover, this will give a clue for the variant. ClinA-78 |
