Luftwaffe losses on 20/04/45

Hello all

What are the losses that day of the luftwaffe in the triangle Bremen/Hamburg/Soltau around 20.30 (the hour is important in order to be able to identify the possible victims of two allied claims).

I have only two losses of JG/26 (unknown place and time:Uffz.Schumacher and Uffz.Simmer.

Re: Luftwaffe losses on 20/04/45

Hello Michel,

according to Axel Urbanke „Mit Fw 190 D-9 im Einsatz“ on 20 April 1945 the II./JG 26 flew two Jabo-missions in the evening, one part flew to the area south of Berlin, another part to the area Zeven-Sittensen southwest of Hamburg. Take-off time in Uetersen around 1930 hrs.
Uffz Erich Schumacher of 7./JG 26 was missing probably after the mission to Berlin and Uffz Josef Simmer of 7./JG 26 was missing probably in the area Sittensen after air-combats with Tempests of RAF Sqn 56.

Regards
Leo

Rottler
They both crashed in the vicinity of Soltau south of the road from Bremen to Hamburg.

Re: Luftwaffe losses on 20/04/45

Well.
It seems that there have been only these two losses in the region.
Not knowing any other allied claims than both of the 3°Sqd (I have no claims by 56° Sqd),these "stick" with the losses of JG26.

Thank you
Best Regards
Michel
