Curtiss-Hawk no.42 GCII/5 05.06.40

Hi,

I`m looking for somebody who could answer my question: I wonder if S/Lt Stum from the GCII/5 crash-landed on the 5th June 1940 after:
- combat with Bf109s from the II/JG27? between 15-16.00 (it took place in the area Noyon-Chaulnes)
- or after combat which took place in the Laon-Berry-au-Buc area?

Regards

Robert

Dear Robert,

As i know, S/Lt Le Stum had to land at Connantre, with his Curtiss n°42 damaged, after a mission over Chaulnes-Marchélepot and a fight against Bf109s from II/JG 27.
Your first proposal seems to be the good one.

Regards,

Lionel

Hi Lionel,

thanks for your remarks.

Robert

P.S. I heard that your book will be delayed? It`s true or only a rumor?

Hi Robert,

Sadly not only a rumor. But not so much. I thought the book could be published at the end of the year, but it will be at the beginning of 2008.
The subscription will soon start.

Lionel
