I was with Cpt Klaus Eidner together for 25 years in Lufthansa. He told me how he was treated as POW after capture by sowjet troops. Klaus died a few years ago.
best regards Peter Spoden

I am sorry, but Klaus Eidner did not tell me about details how he crashed or parachuted not even how long he has been as POW.

As a matter of fact we german pilots in Lufthansa did not talk so much about war, we were only interested to fly with DC3, Convairs, Turboprops, Superstar Constellation, B 707, B 720, B 727 and finally B 747 and Airbus. Some of us old warpilots could even fly the only Ju 52 we have in Germany. That was real fun!

Regards Peter Spoden
