Information concerning loss of Ltn. Rudolf Kastner - Jagdflieger - 11.09.1943

Hi,

Can anyone provide details over the loss ot Luetnant Rudlolf Kastner who was a fighter pilot who was killed on the 11th September 1943?

I think he was with JG2.

Hi Rick , he fell on combat 11-9-43 to the west of Rouen flying Bf109G-6 20348 with 12/JG2,

My list just has LK (combat) for him while Ltn, Stein of 1/JG2 is shown as baling out wounded at Rouen after combat with P-47 and Spitfires, while Lt. Dahmer of the same staffel also baled out wounded ar Rouen combat with P-47. There is nothing to confirm apart from the location that Kastner was in the same combat although it is a possibility. I believe RAF Typhoons and Spitfires were operating in the area while USAAF action was by B-26s so the reported P-47s may have been Typhoons, but I am no expert on this,
