RAF crash records
Does anybody know if the RAF Museum in Hendon hold records of crashes that occurred during WW2?
Can they be viewed by the public? If so, what info is best to have to find details? Crew names? Aircraft number, date of Crash, or all of these? What info do such records hold> |

Re: RAF crash records
I believe that both the AHB and RAFM have copies of the Accident Cards which, in the AHB, are filed by ac type and date and normally only the pilot is listed. However, the AHB does not allow public access to the cards. Are these the "crash cards" you are talking about?

Re: RAF crash records
The Royal Air Force Museum Hendon hold copies of Bomber Command Loss Cards. You can see these also here.

Re: RAF crash records
RAFM hold accident cards, however there are some odd ones missing that may have been 'lifted' in the in between years prior to 1975/1976 when the RAFM received them.
