Fliegersperre Oberndorf am Neckar
Hello gentlemen!
To protect the Mauser Werke in Oberndorf am Neckar there was built a "Fliegersperre".For that 2 steel ropes were strained across the valley of river Neckar. They should protect the Mauser Werke against ground attacks. Three aircrafts crashed into this barrier. Two aircrafts belonged to the Luftwaffe, one to the USAAF. All pilots were killed. Can anyone of you provide any informations concerning these losses? Thank you very much in advance! Herzliche Grüsse aus Oberschwaben, Wolfgang |
