This was in the other items one of the sellers had up for sale. I'm not that hot on pilots but I assume this is a bunch of night fighter pilots - is it Streib, Lent ? |

Next to the left landing gear, underneath the aircraft a He 111 with a strange camouflage pattern can be seen. It looks like the code is 6N+C? which would make it a KG 100 aircraft. Kind regards, Rudi. |

Re: Photos 1-10
Hi Guys
Anyone who can ID this one? http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=300286014630 Looks very much like a PWS.26 but the code is very strange. Cheers Stig |

Re: Photos 1-10
Hi Stig,
this is PWS-26 from CWL-1 in Deblin. Training planes were marked with such high numbers - e.g. 360! Regards Robert |

Re: Photos 1-10
Thanks Guys
Never seen a Polish aeroplane with such high code number before. Since CWL-1 was divided between Deblin and Radom, how can you see the difference? Did they have different code ranges? Cheers Stig |

Stig
I cannot unless the one can find the aircraft in an identified location. Polish pre-war/wartime marking systems remain a mystery to some degree, especially as it is very little known about aircraft assignements and movements. |

Re: Photos 1-10
Hi Stig,
I`m using the book of Mr.Kopanski and he had identified this plane as belonging to CWL-1. I think beside the codes some role played also this small triangle because sometimes there were larger triangles or triangles with "T" letter inside and sometimes emblems (like by SPL Deblin) or only "T" letters (rather by training flights of Air Regiments). CWL-1 was in Deblin. In Radom was SPRL. Regards Robert |
