Beaufighter - Merlins & Hercules

Five books on the aircraft, but none have the difference in length. ie how much further the Merlin protruded out.

Hi

According to AP1721:

Beaufighter II length is 42 ft 6 ins and Hercules-engined variants are 41 ft 4 ins. Both measurements given in the rigging position i.e tail-up.
