8/KG6, 5th November 1943

On 5th November 1943:
8/KG6.
Junkers Ju88S (140583). Sortie to England. Shot down by RAF Mosquito night fighter of 410 Squadron and crashed in the Channel 15 miles south off Dungeness, Kent, 9.04am.
Lt. Diether Bernhard, missing
Fw. Kurt Köhler, missing
Fw. W. Euvers, missing.
Aircraft 3E+GS lost.

Questions are, can anyone help with Euvers first name, crew cat, and should there have been a forth crew member on a Ju88?

Kind regards
Steve

Three was a standard Ju 88 S crew, four in the Ju 88 A.

Re: 8/KG6, 5th November 1943

Thank you Nick. It seems KG6 operated both Ju88A and Ju88S in 1943?

I'll take Chris's word on their equipment. Here's the Bletchely Park Air Operational Watch commentary on the night's events.

Thank you Nick. The Bletchely Park Air Operational Watch commentary on the night's events is very interesting, and I've not seen these before. Thank you.
