Me 262 of KG(J) 54 ??? - Luftwaffe and Allied Air Forces Discussion Forum

Hi all,

I found this photo on FB. Looks like the Me 262 on the right wears the white and yellow Karoband of KG(J)54. Can anyone ID this a/c?

Hi Rudi,

This is Me 262 A-1a "Black 1", W.Nr. 11????, 8.(?)/KG(J)6 found abandoned at Zatec at the end of the war. See David E. Brown etal, Messerschmitt Me 262s of KG & KG(J) Units, JaPo (2010), pp. 145-150 for an overview and profile of this aircraft.
