Re: Photo LVG C.II

Hello,

Currently on ebay are two photos of LVG C.II machines at:

https://www.ebay.de/itm/LVG-C-II-FLU...kAAOSwfvlexw8e

https://www.ebay.de/itm/Flieger-Flug...EAAOSwnlRexpSA

The first has Köslin written on the rear so may well be from the LVG run FEA 2, while the second shows a machine from one of the Kastas of Kagohl 3.

Regards,

Clint

Re: Photo LVG C.II

Hello,

Currently on ebay is a photo of LVG C.II (Ago) C.9926/17 at :

https://www.ebay.de/itm/Foto-Flieger...IAAOSw-2xex5yr

The rear of the photo is in several respects more attractive than the front with beautiful handwriting and details of the crash. Given the location, the machine is possibly from FEA 4.

Clint

Re: Photo LVG C.II

Good grief Clint!

That is the way every flip side should look like.
If they did, we wouldn't have any problems, would we...?

Cheers

Re: Photo LVG C.II

Indeed Stig,

But then what would happen the fun of attempting to identify machines, based on difficult to interpret photos like this one:

https://www.ebay.de/itm/53055268-Fot...MAAOSwHXxe2PdQ

I leieve I read C.II 454 and that this machine is LVG C.II 454/16. What do you think?

Clint

Re: Photo LVG C.II

Well Clint

It would undoubtedly save us (me?) a lot of time....

In this case I believe you are correct. First three digits indeed look like 454. The two after the slash are unreadable, but I take it you have already checked the year, so yes, I agree

Cheers
Stig
