A place to find: Loss of G-4 WNr.15176

Hi Gents,

I'll be glad to find the place of this loss.
Date 21 June 1943 in a time when 2(H)/14 was based at Reggio.
I have two possibilities (two sources) "Meligne" or "Meligno" but I'm unable to find it on a map for it seems this place doesn't exist.
Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Franck.

Hello Franck,

in the Gen.Qu. loss return from 29 June 1943 item 81 is listed the loss location "southwest Moligno". Perhaps a typo for Molino, a place between Altolia and Briga in Sicily, west of Reggio.

Regards
Leo

Thank you Leo.
Knowing that I will check with my Sicilian friends about that "g"; perhaps a local accent.
Regards,
Franck.
PS that's exactly what I was looking for

PPS,
I'm relieved to know that Sicilia is still west of Reggio

Hi Gents, Hi Leo,
Dear Leo, thanks to your suggestion and the help of that Sicilian friend I was talking about I, we, reached to the conclusion the said machine did crash at Briga Marina, i.e. on the beach.
With the help of a photo, indeed.
Regards,
Franck.
