RB-24L & B-29 CFC Gunnery Training

Good Morning,
I have a few questions about that:

1. How many RB-24L where built and are there photos from the type?

2. How many weeks go that training and chance the time during the war?

3. Washout rade for B-29 Gunners / Standard Air Gunners?

4. What are the "Waller Trainer"?

Thanks for support!

The Waller Trainer is explained here (by Waller himself):

A monograph on Flexible Gunnery:

Another view of Z-35 which shows the CFC bubble on the top between two top remote turrets: http://www.b24bestweb.com/630-2.htm

This article on gunnery training also ends with a different photo of Z-35: http://thebombercommand.info/DEDICAT...nneryTrain.pdf

Re: RB-24L & B-29 CFC Gunnery Training

Hans,

At bottom a production (or rather conversion?) number for the RB-24L: http://www.uswarplanes.net/b24.html

Have not found another source yet to check accuracy.

Regards,

Leendert
