Re: Legion Condor Band 4

All

Has anyone seen/read any of Waiss Legion Condor books?
A list of content and review would be interesting to read.

In what way do they differ from previous treatments?

Cheers
Stig

Peter

Site must work differently depending from where you sit.
All I get is a box where I should confirm continue shopping by entering a code (proving I am a human and not a machine)
After entering the code all I get is a blank page, with absolutely nothing, here:

Very puzzling (AND frustrating....)

Cheers

Funny thing: a robot asking me if I am a robot and then deciding if my answer is true or not.

Re: Legion Condor Band 4

For those having trouble:

Legion Condor Band 3
The author Walter Waiss has published more than 220 pages of flight books of pilots who fought in the Legion Condor in the Spanish Civil War.

The author tries to put the entries of the logbooks in connection with the individual phases of the civil war, which he solves very well with quotes from reports, memoirs, diary entries and family chronicles, as well as the impression of impressive photos. The author has also taken the trouble to represent realities such as badges, posters, uniform parts in the original and has also provided numerous photos of "Spain fighters" by collectors who show, for example, soldiers with the awarded by Germany Spain Cross.

The work is interesting for military interested readers, military historians and collectors, because on the basis of the logbooks military operations can better classify or reconstruct. Therein lies the actual achievement of the author, who meticulously collects and archives logbooks for years. In many collections, countless logbooks and documents are "dormant" but probably never refurbished and made available to an interested audience for further research.

The book is printed in a very pleasant A4 format on slightly thicker paper, which is very good for the feel.

I'm already looking forward to what awaits me in the 4th, already announced band. A review of Sachbuch-Rezension.de

5.0 out of 5 stars Legion Condor Band 3
April 27, 2017
In this 3rd volume of Legion Condor reports, documents, photos and facts of the flight book evaluation of 1938 and 1939 are documented.
It consists mainly of the existing material of former participants of the German side. Literature from the former GDR is to be evaluated with the utmost caution, since the Stalinist view of the processes in Spain deviate extremely from the actual procedure. Over time, the author Walter Waiss has accumulated a lot of material, so that he may have a fourth volume as a focus "the Enlightenment" to the content.
