French Curtiss Hawk 75 fighter squadron -Wez Thuisy

Gents,

Hoping one of our French friends can help.

Can anyone tell me what French Curtiss Hawk 75 fighter squadrons were based at Wez Thuisy between October - December 1939.

TIA

Steve

Steve,

I hope an answer from Belgium counts as well: GC I/4 is mentioned in most sources I found.

Regards,

Leendert

GC I/4 was there up to 11 Nov 1939 with H-75, was then replaced by the Moranes of GC III/6 arriving on 15 Nov 1939.

Hi Steve,

All said here is right, this was GC I/4. It was based on Wez-Thuisy from 27/08 to 11/11/1939, and a second time from 02/05 to 10/05/1940.
From 11/11/1939 to 02/05/1940, the group was based at Norrent-Fontes.

Regards,

Lionel Persyn
