Walter Manhart,Bf-110 Ace
Walter Manhart was a Messerschmitt Bf-110 ace with 13 air to air victories to his credit. Do you know the story about him? What was Manhart's post-WWII career?

Re: Walter Manhart,Bf-110 Ace
Well I know that Manhart was a POW in Canada but later escaped and was moving around freely in the United States. Even married an American woman. He was never recaptured.

Re: Walter Manhart,Bf-110 Ace
Information n the early 110 pilots especially those captured in the BofB is scant to say the least likewise the total victories. He did settle in the USA though

Re: Walter Manhart,Bf-110 Ace
I wondered if Manhart was drafted in the US military a few years after WWII? Fought in the Korean War? Don't forget the 'Dodge Act' when foreigners who settled in the USA were taken in the US military shortly before the Korean War.
