Russian fighters claimed two seaplanes on 9 July 1941?

Hi guys

According to Russian sources, on 10 July 1941 Russian fighters claimed the destruction of two Luftwaffe or Finnish transport seaplanes on/near the Lutto river.

Did the Finns in fact have seaplanes operating on inland waterways?

Can anyone enlarge upon this, please?

Cheers
Brian

Lutto is river in Petsamo district, south part of them. Finns have no aviation so far North. Germans have no losses in seaplanes and transport planes in that region AFAIK. Where you get this claims?

Hi Igor

Good to hear from you.

The source is Alexandr Mardanov's '1941: Airwar in the Arctic'

My e-mail address is briancullauthor@gmail.com

I look forward to hearing further from you.

I can say that book of A. Mardanov about 1941 was very poor from view of german data. Claim was made by "land" aviators - who know what they see in reality? As about "finish" origin of planes - this is purely autor's assumption.

Thanks Igor

Seems to have been some confusion!

'Val Angler' is also helping me!

Cheers
