Photo of a booty Savoia Marchetti SM.79
Hi all,
For a forthcoming book, I'm looking for a decent scan of any photo of Royal Yugoslav Air Force Savoia Marchetti SM.79 which was captured at Zemun aerodrome on 12 April 1941. it is easily recognizeable by huge hand-painted Balkenkreuze and (partially covered) white number 23 on the fuselage. So far I know, two photos of it were published, one in "Il Savoia Marchetti S.M.79 Sparviero" by Alberto Borgiotti and Cesare Gorri, and another which I haven't seen in magazine no.7 issued by IPMS Germany in 1990. If you have access any photos of "White 23", please send me a PM or contact me directly at b.ciglic#sbb.rs (#is for @) Cheers, Boris |
