I have some manuscript notes where it says he shot down 2 German recon planes first week of September campaign, other than that I have no clue where or when or with which squadron they were.
I have dads personal notes where he mentions 2 with PAF and 4 ‘official’ with USAAF.
he also had several documented unclaimed kills including 4.6 ground kills he never claimed.
Chris shores acknowledged his 6, as did W Hess in several publications.
If anyone that knows of my fathers story and his persecution by the ignorant Polish high command, especially a certain person named Bajan who wrote and published ‘Lista Bajana’ that everyone takes as gospel for Polish pilots kills, even though there are inaccuracies in the numbers.
To answer Keith A, yes, dad was a very ‘useful’ pilot. He was an instructor at officer school when the war broke out, and even Skalski stated that dad was a more skilled pilot than himself...skilled to the point that both Gabreski and Zemke would argue over who’s wing dad would fly...

Hello
Thank you for your input about your father, since reading about him some time ago I been puzzled about his claim list. Yes i do understand that the List Bajana should not be taken 100 percent since they are error and not all information was available at the time it was written and publish. also Polish pilot scores were noted based on the type of scoring system that the PAF, RAF,USAAF and French Air Force had during the war. example the USAAF went down to fractions while the French was a simple Share to a individual claim. Thanks for joining the discussion.
cheers
