Fw Wilhelm LEHMANN 1/JG77 1941

Hi guys

Fw Wilhelm Lehmann was shot down by ground fire on 25 August 1941 and badly wounded/injured. I presume that he survived.

I believe that he had claimed a number of victories. Has anyone any details, please?

Cheers
Brian

Brian

With most of the records gone, it is difficult to say how many claims Lehmann actually made.
Mombeek only recorded one, 30.7.1941, an I-16

Cheers

Hi Guys

The earlier typed-out form of microfilm for 1./JG77 does not seem to have survived the war, there is a microfilm for individual pilot, but only those who have surnames K-L, then it only lists those on other microfilms, and there is nothing for Wilhelm Lehmann. I can answer the surviving his injuries question as he died on 3rd January 1993. Born on 2nd December 1917 he seems not to have returned to combat after the injuries you mentioned.

Kind Regards

Johannes

Many thanks, Johannes

With regards to those pilots who flew with 1. and 14.Staffeln, we are gradually speculating on their activities based on various sources.

Stig, Nokose and I, plus others, plan to publish our account of the air war in the Far North 1941-42.

Cheers

Brian,

I'm trying to recall if I located the family a few years ago.

I'll have a look.

regards,

Mark

If you not know - Mardanov soon will publicate his book about 1942, first half. He now use many sources for german side, incl. TSAMO 500, Flivo AOK 20, heer + Krigsmarine data.
